omg! yes my yorkie mickey has both english name: mickey and korean name dolee which he responds to both!!! he also understands let's go out and auh ya ga ja (meaning lets go out in korean) and rest baby english like pee pee (obviously time to go pee in the bathroom) and yummy yummy (dinner time) so it is possible for your dog to become bilingual. |
smart animals We taught or dogs just like our childredn my husband spoke only spanish to them and I spoke only english, worked with dogs and children. |
yea, i think furbabies can learn 2 languages although the only one i've tried is sit in english and korean. hehe |
For whatever reason i have always used No mas...instead of no more when giving bella treats..she understands both..;) |
3 languages Our Little Oliver understands us in 3 languages... :animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-paYorkies are very smart & catch on very fast :animal-pa:animal-pa |
My dogs understand commands in english and romanian!!!! |
:thumbup:You can train them with no language at all and then it wouldnt matter. I use the hand signal commands when teaching mine , you don't have to say a word! Just use treats and hand signals.:animal-pa |
Bi & tri lingual pups!?! Shoot...Your furkids are smarter than I am! I'm going to go chase a car....... |
i don't understand yes, i think you CAN teach a dog too learn commands in two languages by doing the hand signal along with the commands (they learn hand signals faster than they can learn words) BUT why do you want your dog to know commands in two languages? wouldn't it be faster for the humans to learn the commands in whatever language you decide to train the dog with? :p |
I don't know if it's possible at the end though I'm trying it too :)) My yorkshire is Italian and he's been living his first 9 months (from 2mth - 11 mth - from when he started to listen to people) in Italian language. But when I got him, I'm Indonesian, so often, I also talk to him in Indonesian, English, and Italian, I think now he's getting used to it. I'd say he could become trilingual later :)) |
