AGAIN- Pitbulls attack yorkies Family fearful after neighbor's dogs attacks | News - Home My last post was a very personal one; as it was my family and our babies that were the news. This has brought the horror that was my September right back to the forefront. This time, it was yorkies that were the victims. My heart goes out to this family and their children. What is so frustrating is that again- the pit bull owner got their dogs back with only a fine. Ridiculous ridiculous ridiculous!! |
I hate hearing news like this and hate hearing that they're pitbulls. But what is that guy thinking?? He admitted they're aggressive towards animals and he STILL allowed them to leave his yard?! I'm sorry, I'm all about pit awareness/rights, but I don't care WHAT breed it is - if your dog kills another animal, that's it. |
And I'm so sorry to hear about your personal story... I cannot imagine the pain. We had a husky who lived down the street who killed 3 neighborhood cats, including 1 in my yard. After a long fight, the owners were allowed to keep Cheyenne as long as she wore a red flag. They still chained her out front. Blows my mind... |
Uh! That is so scary. I am sorry for your loss. |

I read the article and watched the video. What the man said he will replace the dogs and pay for the vet bills. But he will not get rid of his dogs. But what he doesn't understand. That the dogs were family like his dogs and there is no replacing them. He should lose his dogs like that poor hurting family lost their dogs. |

This is one reason why my kitty is indoors only. |
This is just terrible. Hearing of all of these pit-bull attacks is making me seriously consider a concealed carry permit. Even a decade of my dad bugging me didn't do the trick. I hate to think a entire breed is bad, but I don't see the numbers of bully breed attacks decreasing or the IQ of the average hood-rat owner increasing, so I think its the only way to go. I just know myself well enough that me enraged + my babies hurt + fire arms= problem. First thing I did when I got my house was put in a 7 foot cedar fence, but my little men demand their daily walks or else. I wish I could just keep them at home always. I am so sorry for your loss, it is unspeakably sad. |
I will say it again, I hate pit balls and am glad my town has an ordinance against them, if I see one in the neighborhood I will report it. I could care less that some are nice and gentle, they are living breathing accidents waiting to happen. With all the dog breeds in the world there are plenty of other breeds for people that like that type of a dog to choose from, so I have to say this is one breed that we can do without. |

They should put those killing machines to sleep. IIt's clear to me that it can easily happen again. Nothing has changed and certainly not the pitts owner attitude. |

What is this red-flag thing. I don't get it and is this a state by state thing? |

All breeds attack; attacks happen every single day with multiple breeds. In fact, pit bulls attack/bite less than many other breeds, however, THEY are the ones in the media - that's why people rally behind the pit bull hate. If all the German Shepard and Lab bites were in the media, it'd be the same story - with different players. Again, breeds aren't the problem. People are the problem. You outlaw one breed, and those 'people' will just move on to another breed. |
