Beyond words.
Thinking that my dairy is going to need to come from local farms pretty quickly here...

Just horrific. Cruelty. People who treat animals like this are monsters.

It is much easier to just not watch this kind of footage, but if we don't open our eyes - we'll never really see what's going on right in front of us....and nothing will ever change for the better.

Thanks for posting this...it took me a couple days to prepare myself for watching it. Factory farming is so tortuous to see.

Oh gosh....I wish you would have warned us! I only saw the first couple of seconds before I quickly turned it off. That is horrific.

thats an understatement- once i realised what was happening i coldnt get it turned off quick enough... and i really didnt need to see that.

I will ask Ann to post a warning at the top. However, anytime something is "undercover" from a factory farm, you can bet there will be abuse. These places are where most of the meat and dairy in the US comes from. So (IMO) if we consume the products, we should know what we are supporting.

With the exception of seafood/fish we haven't purchased from commercial sources in several years now for this very reason....I want to know where it comes from, how the animals are treated and how they are processed. Fortunately, we do live in an area where good sources of meat/dairy are readily available.

on the contrary, I believe everyone needs to see it. People need to open their eyes and see what is really going on in the world. Animal Cruelty is everywhere and it needs to be stopped.

I agree!!!

I show my middle schools students FOOD INC.. I have changed what I buy now.. I will not buy from smithfield and Tyson - I don't eat meat as much. I used to enjoy my hambugers but all I can see is the eyes of the frighten cows .. ugh!!!

i didnt mean it like that, more so it shouldnt be nessesary to see a calf get its head caved in with a pick axe... everyone should be aware of this happening, i just wasnt quite ready for That in the 1st 5 seconds...

I couldn't watch anymore than the first few seconds.

I just don't get how PEOPLE can do this. How messed up are you to do what I saw to an animal in the first few seconds. I don't care if it is a cow.
