Training today with a Parcel of Yorkies
 

Great fun indeed.. We did quite a bit of obedience and then some agility stuff with the pooches.


Senior stable boy Magic was there to provide an easy intro to a very large dog with small Yorkies who are afaird of the big ones. He did amazing - never blinked or moved even with the wee Yorkies growling at him. By the end of our time - one brave lass kept on inviting MagicMan to play with her! Playbows galore - sashaying in front of his nose. But good boy that he was he merely dipped his head and never broke his stay!


Razzle did purty good too as a distraction. I mainly worked with Dara - who I am pleased to say did very well with her prey drive amongst all those Yorkies. It was very distracting so her obedience work was much less than perfect - but we got through the 1.5 hrs with her not going after any Yorkie!!!! We even worked her come to me when she got too interested in a Yorkie and she came - Gawd bless her.


And by the way - she is not aggressive -but dearly wants to play speedster with the speedy Yorkies. But she is not ever to be allowed to do this. One wrong move of her paw and or a playfull swipe and a Yorkie or other small dog could suffer dearly.

I wish I could have been there to see your pack. It sound like a really special way to spend your morning. Kudos to you and your babies.
