We finally visited a nursing home! Snoopy got certified as a therapy dog a couple of years ago, but things came up and we couldn't get started doing visits. But we did our first visit today. He was pretty good for his first time. He brightened some days I'm sure.:) |
I'm so proud of Snoopy. I know he brightened many a patient's day at that NH. Probably made your day, too! :) |
That's wonderful. |
good job snoopy. we're about to start our therapy career too. let us know more as you guys take that journey before we do. |
I'm sure you did bring lots of cheer to the people you visited. Way to go Snoopy! Wishing you more happy visits. |

Thanks everyone! |
I think that is just fantastic! I'm sure he will brighten many a day. |
I am a long term care nurse and I can't even begin to tell you how much therapy dogs help the residents and staff! Days before and days after a doggie visitation, many of our residents are still talking about the dogs. Some residents actually get all dressed up just to see the dogs; something many will not do even for grandchildren! May God bless you and your dog for the good work you are doing! |
Thanks for that insight! I'm so excited about starting training for Bella this fall first with obedience and advancing to therapy dog certification. Dogs bring me joy and I want to share it and cheer others.:) |
We did a second visit today. Snoopy was so excited when we pulled in the parking lot! We saw one lady who was 104 years old. She told me if I ever get tired of Snoopy, to look her up! ;) |
Aww.... Snoopy is just too adorable. Looking forward to more stories on visits. |
