Agility trial this weekend in Cumming GA I haven't been on in a while, since right after the agility forum was added. Daisy has been in agility all this time. She only trials with TDAA (Teacup Dog Agility Association) so far. It is a very relaxed venue and lots of dogs mess up so you don't have to stress about not making it. Daisy blew two tries at her last Beginner Qualification (out of 3) because it took her so long to tip the teeter that she timed out. She just didn't like that little teacup size teeter (we have only standard size in class) though she got her first two "Q's" at anothr trial with no trouble. But in August she completed the beginner level -TBAD lol- and is working on her intermediate level this weekend. Friday Saturday and Sunday in Cumming GA Today in the first standard run she, for unknown reasons, decided that the tunnel opening right in her face was not where to go but jumped up on the side of the dog walk instead. No Q for that! She Q'd the second round and in both of the games as well. The games were Super Dog (like pacman: certain jumps (power pill) make the next 4 obstacles x5 points) and tunnels (6 tunnels with 14 numbered entries). This is so much fun. I am going to retry this forum to hear other's experiences. My daughter might be making a video tomorrow and I will post it if so. |
Woohoo! Go Daisy! I love seeing other Yorkies in agility. :) I can't wait to see a video. I didn't know there was a specific organiztion for small dogs. I'd be interested in this. I'm in Maryland. |
Wow, I didn't know there was TDAA in GA. Where in Cumming is the trial? We might try to get out there tomorrow. Good luck! |
I am going to start a new post with Daisy's results and the videos. I realized later the title would not invite many viewers, it just seemed like an announcement of the event. The local TDAA group is called Dancing Dog Agility and you can find information about other TDAA events from their website. Lizzie: Sorry this info is late, I didn't get back online until this morning. It was held at Family Pet Obedience School on Industrial Park Blvd. They are hosting another trial December 18-19. It would be great to have more Yorkies there!! The premium (entry form if you are as ignorant about this as I am) can be found on the website. |
Go Daisy! This is great! |

I found it, and I think I am going to enter on one of the two days. It's a great place to start trialing Liz, although I've entered her in one NADAC trial so far. :D Beemidiwf, you are entering the Dec 18 & 19 trials? |
