[News] Puppy Swallows Yonder Star Puppy swallows yonder star The Sun (Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007) UK http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...icle613127.ece THIS dozy puppy almost had his last Christmas dinner — after he swallowed a star decoration. (See link above for photo of Charlie and his xray) Yorkshire Terrier Charlie found the old Christmas star as he rummaged in owner Felicity Clifford’s bin. She thought the five-month-old pup had swallowed a bone — but an X-ray revealed the star. Charlie made a full recovery after it was taken out with forceps under anaesthetic. Vet Robert Newcombe of charity PDSA’s hospital in Plymouth, Devon, said: “I’ve seen odd things as a vet but this is the strangest ever.” PDSA warned that baubles, trees and tinsel can harm pets. Nurse Paula Hollett said: “It can be a dangerous time of year.” |
How awful! Glad he's okay now! |
I'm very glad this had a happy ending! Isn't that xray amazing? |
Wow! That is interesting and so glad he is ok. With three curious Yorkies I have my tree surrounded in an exercise pen. |
I read that in the paper and was going to post about it too :p |
OH GOODNESS!!! I am so glad that everything is okay! |
Aw... I am just reading this. Poor puppy =( Glad he is okay though. And yes! Christmas is a harmful time for puppies with the ornaments and all. My Bella eats the pine needles that falls of our tree =( |
Surprising it didn't puncture anything:eek: |
God be with the little puppy. Glad things are okay. |
