I have been traveling via air for about 22 years with yorkies, At one time the fares were like $15.00 or $30.00 each way, now depending on the airline the average is $100.00 each way, so make sure you check that out. Lola has gone with me on three round trips in the year I have had her and we will be flying again the first week of June.
I posed some good tips on a recent thread you might want to check out. (link is below) I have read some posts where people have been able to get their pet their own seat, I have never seen where that is allowed and I have flown on a lot of differnt US carriers. This would be great since I can get tickets to NYC from Detroit for under $50.00 each way but it costs $100.00 each way for Lola. So be very careful before taking that advice you might wind up being out good money.
