Certificates must be issued no more than 3 days before the flight, and are good for 30 days after it was issued. So let's say I'm leaving this Friday out of the country. The soonest I can get a certificate is today, and the latest Thursday. Then I have 30 days from the date it was issued to get me and my dog back into the US. Unless the rules changed in the last 2 months, that's what they are. |
When we flew from CA to PA 2 wks ago we got Sprocket a health certificate just to be on the safe side and even tho it was never asked for, our vet said the laws had changed it's only good for 2wks now, I don't know about going out of the country but it went from being a simple 1 page thing to being 2 pages long, quite detailed, and this is CA who knew?
