I am not a veteran. Cerise is almost 9 months old and I brought her home on Valentine's Day. I did serious research and used YT as a mentor for months before getting her because I did not want to make mistakes and be a bad owner mother. Not everyone is like me, but having her I have ran across too many people who stop me and talk about having a Yorkie like it's buying a Mercedes... for status
They like the way they look and some have said they would love to own one because they are cute, little, their friends would be jealous, but don't want to be dealing with problems...people really do say stupid things like that
I've even had people to tell me they had one but got rid of it because it was too much work like having a child.
So my feelings about some new owners are not good when I hear about them doing stupid things like sticking a 9 week old Yorkie in a garage.
