I groom all 3 of my Yorkies myself. I have read too many stories on here where a groomer ruins the Yorkie's hair. A lot of times a groomer will claim that there was too many matted areas so they HAD to clip them short. Mine get brushed/ combed daily so I know they are not matted, The one and only time I took one of mine to the groomers, I only had Jeter at the time and I was lucky they did a good job. But I figured that I could save money if I started to do myself. I paid almost $70 for them to trim up Jeter and he is only 2 1/2 pounds It was not like he was a giant fuzzy St Barnard!

WOW 70 for a 2lber geesh!!! That is crazy
Peanuts groomer is really good, she only does what I tell her to do and she is really good at it. She charges me 35 for a bath, shave, anal, nail trim, teeth brushed. I tip her 10 so its 45 everytime...
I honeslty just dont want to pay the 45 , DH isnt working as much as he use to ( he is in construction) so I think we should save that 45 every 3 months and put it on something else when I can probably trim up Peanut myself.

Peanuts hair is about 1/2 inch long right now usually I have it shaved to like 1/4 inch! So short!! Now that it is a little longer I have been brushing him like every other day.. I love it its soo shiny and healthy looking and its silver! When it is shaved so short its black! We have our little bonding time where he sits on me and I brush him!! He is really good too he will sit there, he doesnt like it, but he puts up with it very well!
