Please get your baby to a vet. He sounds like he is in pretty intense pain, and he needs to be seen. We JUST went through this. The threads explain everything, but in a nutshell, Ryder started yelping at the slightest touch, and at the threat of being touched. However, once I had him, there was no pain reaction to any palpation all over his body.

We took xrays and determined slight narrowing of at least two joint spaces in his back. We believe the acute pain was due to some trauma (jumping on/off something) and he was having excruciating nerve pain He was put on pred and bed rest for 4 weeks (we are a week and a half into it) and I have taken him for acupuncture which really seemed to help.

Again, please get him to the vet. If you don't do that and wait until you get home, DO NOT allow him to run/jump/or be active. He needs to be confined, but really he needs either a steroid or nsaid to reduce the swelling. If he continues to be active he could do major damage.

Please keep us updated. Good luck.
