If that is truly the case, then I wouldn't stress to much over this one particular situation. It sounds like you got turned down by one breeder out of several and for whatever reason the other breeder just didn't think it was a good match. As the saying goes, you can't please everyone. Like you said, you may not agree with it, but it's not your call.
