No, it would be responsible, just as it would be for ANY breeder. Good breeders are generally concerned about the health and well being of the dogs they produce even long after they leave to be with their new owners. One way that they go about doing this is by limiting the registration on their dogs so that the line they have worked hard to create does not fall into the hands of someone who is going to ruin what they have created and damage the breed by breeding it without promoting good standards. On occasion, only when they have produced a excellent specimen would do they then consider placing the dog with someone to be bred or shown on full registration. And even then it isn't to the first Tom, Dick or Harry that comes along offering to buy it, no questions asked.

This is what RESPONSIBLE breeders do. I think you would be hard pressed to find many, if anyone here, who would state otherwise. If you choose to do that, that is your choice and right but to me, that alone speaks volumes of a breeder. I am not going to try to discourage you from breeding off-colored dogs, on the contrary I would urge you to stick with them rather than the standard colored ones.
