Dear Friends,

This is my dear Mom I'm talking about. She was supposed to come live with us, but her condition will soon warrant more medical care than I can give. She has a terminal condition that is slowly hardening her lungs. It will take her life. She also has several other diagnosis that complicate her care tremendously. On top of all her physical ailments, she suffers from depression as well. Her little poodle, who is a pain in the neck for everyone but her, is her life. Seriously. She's a sweet girl, but is very spoiled by Mom. Who can blame her, since my Dad died, she's been her constant companion.

Needless to say, my Mom is very cherished. We will do the best we can to keep her happy. And Mom is all Bea knows, they are inseperable.

Thanks and hugs to those who chose to see both sides.

I can barely read to type. I haven't even finished the thread. The entire time I was reading this I was thinking of my own dear mother. She is now in a hospital going into a nursing home - HOPEFULLY with a future option of returning home, but no guarantee. Her beloved poodle is at home with my dad. This kills them to be separated. I don't think many here - who honestly do love their pets - realize that pets play a more important role than simply being our beloved pets. They are God's angels who keep some people alive. I can't imagine telling my mom to get a different dog or to give up her dog for it's own good. Her dog keeps her alive!! OMG - this just hits so close to home. I am so sorry. And I'm so sorry for some responses that hurt. I felt the "mom connection" through the whole thing (what I've read so far). As I now continue the thread, I will look forward to what will hopefully be a new helpful suggestion or a new solution to your dilemma. You are sooooooo in my prayers.
Diane
