well sadly they only recommend it because they will make money from selling it
you do not NEED to feed wet... dry is better for their teeth... yorkies tend ot have bad teeth so anything to help is great.. layla gets about 1 tsp of a quality (wellness) wet food in the morning with her missing like as a treat.. and that's it! good luck with your choosing! if you can find a very small locallly owned petstore.. chances are GREAT they have high high quality food... we feed Fromms.. and a friend of mine feeds GO.. also a VERY high quality food... if you want me to send you a sample of each before you buy a big bag PM me and i'll send it to you
