I have a legal question that maybe someone here knows the answer to....
Is it possible to sue a breeder/puppy mill on behalf of their mistreated animals? You know how a child is appointed a court representative in cases of abuse...why can't the People of a State sue a puppy mill for punitive damages ($$$) on behalf of their mistreated and abused animals? We've all seen the PETA videos of diseased dogs and dogs living with neglect and untreated medical conditions in puppy mills. Why can't criminal charges be brought against the owners for ABUSE. I'm not talking about just shutting them down...I'm talking about suing them for the money they've earned from these animals and putting them in jail for neglect and abuse of a living being.
