 Coughing or Honking
Our Yorkie, Carib, started to make a "honking" kind of noise, almost like he had a fur ball in his throat. From what I read, Yorkies have the tendancy to "reverse sneeze". They stand erect with head jutted out, eyes open, and legs somewhat bowl-legged. If you rub their throat and make them swallow, the noise should stop. If your Yorkie has a raspy sounding cough - take them to the vet immediately as this could be a sign of a collapsing trachea, which this breed is prone to. Also, be sure to use a harness versus a typical dog collar!
