My one female is 5 lbs. I think you'll get alot of different opinions. I think 5 lbs and over is fine. But I also look at her frame as well. There are some tiny framed 5 lbs girls out there that I wouldn't want to breed. My other two females are going to be about 5 1/2 to 6 pounds.
Where does your breeder live? I bought my male from a breeder in MI, who also boards dogs as well.
