I say go for it if you can afford the additional expense. I got lulu when lex was a year old and we had a bit of jealousy for maybe three or four days. I made sure to be home to watch them and acclimate them. I babied the heck out of him for the first few days that she came and didn't give her a ton of attention. After those few days all was well. They are best buds now. I chose to get a female so we wouldn't have any of the alpha behaviour in the house plus I wanted a girl to do the girly things to her...lol.
