It can really go both ways.

I know if I called about a yorkie baby, and they wanted to meet me at McDonalds, first thing that'd hit my brain was "that lady stole those dogs" or"they run a puppy mill, and they don't want me to see it".

But if you run a business, you need to conduct it like a business. Meaning, how many businesses have you been in lately withOUT survelence? Many have more than 2 camera's too, especially gas stations. Even Walmart has them coming, going, at registers, and all over the store. Most places have 2 or more camera's.

But they aren't any good if they get shot out, so please place them in a place where they can't be seen. Ok, I watch too much CSI, and other crime shows, lol.

If I went to look at a dog, I'd expect the owners to be "very cautious", to me thats normal. My breeder had my email address and home phone number before I even left the house. Had she asked for my mothers maiden name, I'd given it to her.

Trust between sellers and buyers is a 2 way street. Use all the caution you can in selling. But please don't make every buyer feel as if you think "they are a criminal" cause we aren't all criminals. Just a few are, and they are the ones that get the press and media coverage.

I still give that lady that had video of the thieves, a high 5!! But 3 spots would be better. A car tag might have been faster in catching them. You have bushes and trees? Use them too! If you can put christmas lights in it....you can put a camera in it too.

I really hate this has scared so many breeders. From what I understand, hooking up survelece cameras isn't that difficult. And putting someones faces, clothes, car and tag # on the news....really gets the theives fast!

Please be "cautious" selling, but please also remember we aren't all criminals.
