Our puppy is almost six months old and I had never heard of pee pads - we had always had large dogs before and this is our first tiny dog so I had to learn a lot of things.

She was fully trained by 16-17 weeks to do both pee and poop outside. We live in Nova Scotia and it does get cold and snowy here. There were times I felt bad about putting her out but she learned quickly to go to her toilet area and do her business and come back in. During all this we did discover that she LOVES being outside and loves the snow...she is a dog afterall.

I think that everyone has their own way of training - be it dog or child (or even husband!) but I am very glad we sent our little girl outside.
