my louie has long legs and is silver with tan on em. He is a yorkie but with breeding of 2 bigger dogs. He weighs 13 lbs due to long body and long legs. (he's skinny) I'm sure ur in-laws are in the same situation.
Louie was black and tan, with a white spot on the top of his head. It eventually turned tan but his hair is the cottony coat, which I'm not that fond of. But I keep it shorter and dont have any problems with knotting up when I do that.
