I know Venus was really pitiful that first day, but was much better the 2ond and 3rd day she was back to her normal self, except with jumping on the sofa.

They aren't supposed to climb steps or jump for like a week.

Venus was back up on the sofa after about 5 days.

I certainly don't remember any problems with her breathing though after her spay. For that, I think your doing the right thing in taking your baby in for checkup.

Venus slept a lot, and didn't eat or drink much at all that first night (per vets orders).

It can really tear us up to see them looking so pitiful that first night or 2. Thats why my vet will keep them overnight, unless you insist on taking them home.
