Yes, he'll be fine with that. After you keep visiting Petsmart like that, it becomes part of his little world--his place. Once he's more comfortable with that surrounding, he'll be more relaxed.
Here's a blast from our past; my SOS when Chloe went to her first training. I was so freaked by it:

But it gets better quickly, and the whole experience with socialization makes it worth it--it really boosts their self-confidence!
