Isn't that the truth! I wonder how many people have had their day made when Villette PM's? I have not taken her up on the generous avatar offer but I will when I finally get a good pic of all mine. It is just a very nice welcoming gesture and I hope she knows we appreciate her!!! Are you reading V?
I have felt fairly welcome from the beginning. I actually felt this was a very non-cliquish site. Sure some have known each other a long time and have history -- but the ones that have been here the longest also seem to be the ones to reach out to new folks. I think it is normal in any group that the new people think they are not at the hub of things. Try moving to a small town!
We have been here for 16 years and are still the "new folks." But I did find out that even the "new folks" can initiate the first conversation and make great friends.
