Mine does this to the vet.. thinks I'am crazy but she does this usually in the mornings, but I have noticed after i use hair spray, or use air freshner or if she get around the cat that is what triggers the coughing act like the sound of something hung in her throat I think she has allergies, but now i kind of watch to make sure she is not around when using these things to not trigger the cough... good luck......
