It works out better for me this way. When she is locked up and I come home she has submissive urine accidents on the floor, but now she doesn't. She seems happier. When she is locked up she will tear up her potty pad too, but when she is left out whe leaves it alone because she knows that is where it is supposed to be. She is really particular about where things are in the house, if something isn't where it is suppsoed to be or if I bring something new into the house she goes crazy...LOL. One time she was barking at the patio doors and she was jumping and going crazy, it was a big box that our filing cabinet came in, she didn't know what it was but she knew it wasn't supposed to be on her patio...LOL. I think that it will be fine for your little one to stay out. Just make sure that there is nothing she can get into, they will find anything.
