I have just started letting Hannah have free run the house (well most of the house) when I am gone. I used to lock her in the hall way, but she seemed to make more of a mess being locked up. I close the bedroom doors and the bathroom door and she has the living room, kitchen and diningroom. It is working out great for us. She is 5 1/2 months old.
