I am in infection control nurse, and understanding the concept of how disease is spread is the heart of my job. I have no fears at all about having piddle pads inside. I too dispose of the poo down the loo, and change the pad regularly. As long as dogs are given good vet care to keep them parasite free, and hands are washed after handling used pads, I don't see a problem with pads. Some people are too squeemish about the wrong things. For instance, the average computer keyboard has more bacteria on it than a toilet seat!
