It's odd. My oldest Buffy use to be so good with car rides and loved them. Since she has gotten older she does this nervous/excited behavior. I had no idea her yawning was to keep herself from throwing up. She only started doing this after this one time that I had to kennel her. I won't do that again! I've even done exercises where we will go somewhere nice and get her a treat but she still does it. I notice that on the ride back (from wherever we are going) the behavior stops. I guess it's the unknown that bothers her.
