The yorkie and small dog craze reminds me of when the movie 101 Dalmations was first introduced about 13 or 14 years ago. Everyone and their brother had to have a dalmation. Few people were ready to be responsible for those pups. Shelters, rescues, vets all had their hands full when owners figured out they reallly didn't want to deal with those cute spotted pups any longer.

No one should ever purchase a pup because it is the "in" thing to do.
