Thank you all for the information in this thread...I have never even thought about this issue. I have people come over, into my house all the time. The new parents, the kids, the neighbors, their sister in law...actually, some times it gets a bit much. I usually let them pick out the dog at 8 - 9 weeks but I always hold until 12 weeks. Of course the new "parents" want bi-weekly visits until their new baby comes home..it does get to be a circus here sometimes. I think I will start to institute a little tighter protocal. I've always thought the more loving the new babies get before they leave here the better, but I never thought that they could be getting much more than hugs and kisses like germs and bugs...
