I was told to mix the two foods together 50/50, and through out the week gradually ween off the old food so that by day 7 you have a the pup on the new food... not sure how big the samples are and if that will be enough for the week... also i've been told not to change up the food too often especially if your dog is under 6 months since the lining in their stomach is not fully developed yet.
Also during this time always check their stool... if it seems it's not hard and it's too soft, then it may not be working with their stomach.
Please note that the person that told me about the weening had the puppy on really bad food... |
