Could your husband maybe talk to her privately about how she is hurting your feelings? I am sorry about your experience. I have had similar experiences because I am a foreigner, people asking if we have electricity "over there" and whether I rode a camel to school. You try to say, "well it just shows your ignorance/intolerance" but it hurts.
