Are there any holes or buckets etc, it would be terrible but I have heard of dogs & children falling head first into a bucket or water filled hole & not being able to get out A 2 yr old little girl did that & the family walked by it several times searching for her, but didnt look in. I t would be horrible to find him like that but I would do a thorough search of the backyard, I know I have a tiny garden pond & a dog fell in it once, I could see a fake duck I had in it moving a little, I actually couldnt see the dog but I went closer & saw it & pulled it out, it was fine-but had I not been right there & it would have took some effort to see him if he had drown. It was a snauzer I found on the highway. Once you have really searched every inch of the backyard(& I truely hope nothing like that happened), call/visit neighbors, call shelters, vet. A neighbor probably has him. I called the local gas stations etc once & asked that if they have anyone come into to buy dog food for their new dog "yorkie" to call me please. Put a a pic at the gas stations, grocery stores, pet stores-where it will be seen by everyone & ask for his safe return-say he needs meds for a fatal illness, I read you should put that, the people will be more ap to return the dog. If anyone calls & asks what meds he's on say its for heart problems & it is a very expensive med. I hate lying but this is a yorkie we're talking about!
Is there snow, can you see tracks? I will be praying your baby gets home safe & sound. Could he have gotten under the house somehow? I hope you find him soon, please keep us posted.
