Yikes, that would be really hard. Our churches (past ones, too) are stepping up and helping. And we see the blessings, too.
I think the biggest blessing is that the day had to be so hard and that everything DID happen within a matter of hours.... but because of that, the other animals were rescued.
We also get our new door & puppy door... and they're going to erect a fence for us. And we get stairs to get into the attic which we didn't have before and we get a whole new roof. We also get new countertops and cabinets in the kitchen... and new floors. Some of these are things we wanted to do anyway and were just slowly saving up to have done (door, fence, stairs, cabinets, counters...). So we're being blessed with all that, too. The resale value on our house may have just crashed, but I think it's going to be perfect for us once it's fixed up and the new skylights are patched up
