I realize you can register any color with AKC...but the standard is set by the YTCA and they have decided not to allow these non-standard colors.
YTCA is not God, but I accept the clubs bylaws, rules and regs, because IMO they have the best interest of the Yorkie at heart ..so I choose to adher to the rules...now if I decided not to adher, then I would do all I could to promote change, not breed any color I choose and say the standard is wrong...as it reads now, the standard is the last word. If I want colors, I will get into Poms or Poodles.. I would think your male bred to a line of B/G will only produce B/G. It is recessive..so both must carry the gene.
Thank you for your help! This is the information I was looking for. Do you know where to find a description of the standard set by YTCA?
