Sissy always slept in her "room", the downstairs bathroom where she had a doggie bed, crate that was open with toys in it, food and water with a nitelight. When she got sick at 10 months old, the hubby wanted to bring her in bed with us. That was the end of her sleeping in her room.
Now that we have Angel, the plan was to use the Xpen in the office for her space. She climbed out of the pen on day 3, so out that went. The first night she began to whine when we left her in there, so I ended up sleeping with her on the couch. We did this for a few nights because Sissy wouldn't settle down and sleep with Angel in bed also. Plus, Angel usually potties in the middle of the night - Sissy does not. After about a week of this, I put Angel in the downstairs bathroom. She does just fine down there and we all sleep better now!!
