You and your babies are better off without him, and with friends like her, who needs enemies?!! I cannot believe that she would do this to you, the only reason I can think of for her coming to your house and having him pick her up there, would be to make DAMNED sure that you knew about them.
Make sure that you file legal papers for child support if you haven't done so already. I have a feeling he's not going to be forthcoming with any financial help when the time comes
