It's not a new merger. A couple years back (3) Cingular bought out AT&T's phone service. They changed the name but after realizing a few years down the line they are just switching back to use the more familiar and old name of AT&T. Seems business was better then because people new and were use to that name. So now dummies that they are they are spending a heck of a lot of money to go back to the first name. Your service won't be different than it is now it will just revert back to the original name.
