All I can think about today is getting a new puppy. I'm sure I am thinking that it will help fill the void but I am wondering if I should be feeling this way already. I won't be getting a new puppy until the summer time when I don't have to work or atleast that is the plan. I know everyone copes in their own way but I guess I am wondering if this is somewhat normal.
Also, I am worried that my family will want to get a different breed of dog but I can't imagine not having a yorkie. I think once you have one you don't want anything else.
Has anyone else had the same feelings that I seem to be having?
Thank you in advance for all your help!
You have all been wonderful!!
Having gone through the same thing with Muffin and having loved her with all of my heart and then some I can say that I started wanting another one after a few weeks. I was still grieving for Muffin when I got Kacee. I still grieve for her. She was everything to me. I say go with your heart and don't feel guilty for it. Having another one to keep me busy chasing her around constantly helped ease the grief by not giving me time to fall into that dark hole that grief sometimes becomes. So, as I said, don't feel guilty. You have the love to give and they want to love you back!
