I don't blame them for being wary, since that person joined on the same date he/she posted, the same as you... it seems you also posted just to "voice your displeasure."
As for ringworm, a cat I adopted from a rescue had ringworm. My vet treated her with sulphur baths, I think? (it has been years now, but I remember having to take her in once a week for the dips.)
I called the rescue to let them know in case other cats were exposed, and they actually mailed me a check with WELL over what I paid for the adoption fee because they felt so bad that she was adopted out with ringworm.
I of course voided the check - I'm not going to take money from a rescue that needs it more than I do, but it is amazing to me that a rescue would offer to try and offer help, and a breeder would not.
