We had a similar problem with Punkin. She had a yeast infection in her ears and we needed to put drops in her ears nightly and clean them with cotton. The first time she was perfect, second time she figured out what was going to happen and struggled. We kept calm and wouldn't let her back down from getting it done (although it took 2 of us). Immediately afterward we jumped around, singing her praises and had a treat parade and played ball for a few minutes. Each day she tolerated the procedure even better and now she's perfect for it. She knows there is fun and a treat for her. I certainly didn't blame her for not wanting it - the feeling of those cold drops going down the ears could not have been pleasant.
