You poor thing, I know exactly how you feel. Anytime Cali and my hubby is in the same room, I'm nervous. He doesn't seem to pay much attention most of the time, and Cali can jump up under your feet faster than that. So, normally I'll just hold her when I see him coming in the kitchen until he is done cooking/fixing him a plate/looking in the fridge/etc. And if your baby is anything like Cali, every step is a (frightening on my end, exciting on Cali's) experience of her jumping at your ankles, darting in front of you, then running behind you and hugging your legs from behind. She can literally trip you! Good luck with your grandson. Just keep telling him to look down, and if all else fails, separate her with a crate or expen until the coast is clear.
