Just FYI: You can claim your daughter as long as she is born within the year. The IRS considers you married for the entire year regardless of the actual date in which you married. So if you were married on December 31, 2006 the IRS would recognize your marriage for the entire tax year of 2006. The same rule applies to the birth of your daughter.
