It's not standard but there is nothing wrong with your Yorkie.
Buddy was 7lbs at 7mos and gained 1lb a month until he was
1yr. Today at 3yrs he is 13lbs. 5oz. Just bigger that's all.
Hope you weren't planning on breeding him.
The bigger one's are very sturdy and just as loving. I bet he's a cutie.
