Where in this thread has anyone made any nasty comments about small yorkies ?

I have a different approach to dog ownership to you and don't judge on appearances at all. If a dog needs a home I am here for them everyone of mine have had either something wrong with them or been crosses that have been thrown away - what they look like doesn't enter my head it is there need and whether they can get on with the rest of my dogs. I would personally not take on a smaller yorkie because we have a retriever cross and a big yorkie and like to let them loose in the woods and on the common, I couldn't do that with a tiny dog. We had a tiny chihuahua for 15 years and I expected her to keep up with the other dogs and she did - the vet said it was very unusual for such a small dog to be so fit - and I am convinced it was because we let her be a dog and didn't carry her everywhere that made her fit.

As for not being able to afford one - no I can't but do you know why I can't ? It's because all my spare money (we live very simply) goes towards rehoming unwanted animals I'd rather spend £100 on getting 10 dogs into loving homes that £100 on a dog for myself !
