You are very right! They don't care.
Even though the second puppy did get better (under my care) it took her 2 1/2 months to recover fully, I remember staying up late at night with her to make sure she stayed hydrated and remembering her put her little head on my lap and looking up at me like trying to thank me for saving her life, I was in tears many of nights over this..... it was truely devastating
