 Hormones or what????
I know this might seem to be a crazy question but I am stumped. Max has started humping Katie today and I know there is no way she can be in heat as she just had a littler of puppies and they are only 5 weeks old. Could this be from changing hormones or something? Why is he all of a sudden doing this? He has also started marking again since the puppies have started getting around. Is this normal behavior for him? I never had a male around when my other dogs had pups so I'm just not sure? I would appreciate any advise anyone can give me. Also, how should i figure when her next heat will be? Her normal cycle is every 9 mo....do I figure the 9 mo from the beginning of her last heat or does having a litter affect this? Just want to be prepared and watching when the time gets near. |
